One Unit at a Time
Commissioner Service is a key part of the Scouting organization. Commissioners are district and council volunteer leaders who help Scout units succeed. In our council, they coach and consult with adult leaders of Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, and Venturing Crews.
Unit Commissioners work with individual units to help those units grow and succeed in their mission to bring Scouting's values to the youth in your community. Commissioners take special training and attend conferences to help them prepare to help units with rechartering, communication, recruiting, and problem solving.

You can continue your education at
Middle Tennessee Council College of Commissioner Science
Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral Programs will be offered.
The courses will be taught by nationally recognized Scouters plus a keynote address.
The College of Commissioner Science will convene at the Brentwood United Methodist Church, 309 Franklin Road, Brentwood, Saturday, November 6, 2010.
Check-in starts at 7:00AM and completion at 5:30PM. Tuition is $35 and covers classes, materials, lunch, refreshments, certificate, and patch. Full and complete uniform is requested.
NOTE: Be sure you have completed Basic Training for your position.
