2015 Boy Scout Patron Luncheon
On March 3, 2015 at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville, the Middle TN Council Boy Scouts of America hosted the 23rd Annual Patron Luncheon to raise the funds necessary to provide Scouting to nearly 20,000 Scouts in the council. Our luncheon chair and co-sponsor of the event was Mr. Carl Haley, Jr., president and CEO of Grand Avenue Worldwide in Nashville. Carl helped put together a fantastic program, and we thank Carl and his team for doing a fantastic job.
Nearly 900 of the area’s business leaders and civic minded patrons joined us for the luncheon, and each were treated to an exceptional program. Our Eagle Scout speaker was David Oglesby Hancock from Troop 418 chartered by Holy Family Catholic Church in Brentwood. David’s speech did, in fact, have everyone on the edge of their seat...literally! David’s final charge to “knock out a problem” by each working together was clearly received by those present, as we were able to announce a total investment in Scouting of $1,639,975 raised thus far! This money goes directly to support Scouting throughout the entire council and, in turn, makes Middle TN Council the best council in the nation.
We could not say that 100% of those dollars raised at the luncheon goes directly to support Scouts without our sponsors. Please make sure to let them know how greatly appreciated they are! Thank you to Corrections Corporation of America, Community Health Systems, Grand Avenue Worldwide, Pinnacle Bank and US Bank for their incredible generosity again this year, and we hope to see everyone next year for the 24th Annual Patron Luncheon.
