Hermitage Past and Future Events
Hey everyone! The Hermitage District got 2013 kicked off with a great first quarter. There were Blue and Gold Banquets, Lock-ins, and, as always, fun and games. We had a pack go to Sky High. This a jumpy place on steroids. Wall to wall trampolines and great assistance to help you navigate your way through the building.
We look to have more of the same coming up this quarter. The first big event involving the whole district is camping weekend at Boxwell, coming up on April 19th and 20th. This is for all the Packs in the district. I just left a planning meeting for this event, and the Cub Scouts are going to have a great time. There will also be chances to earn badges and other awards.
Hermitage Spring Camping
The great thing about this time of year is camping. I have heard from several Packs about overnight trips that are planned for this quarter. We have Packs going to Cumberland Caverns, Florida, and wilderness areas. The weather in the south this time of year is great for Scouting and Camping. Warm spring days can lead to very cool evenings and sometimes very wet evenings. We all know this makes for better Scouts because it makes you “Be Prepared”!
